Professor Bassim H. Hameed has been listed in the 12th Edition of webometrics as a Highly Cited Researchers (h-index >100) according to Google Scholar Citations public profile. With this achievement, He was among the 4,167 Highly Cited Researchers of all disciplines (as of April 2020) around the world, based on frequencies (with h-index > 100, indicating over 100 articles are cited at least 100 times each) in the Google Scholar Citations database.

For the sixth consecutive year, Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed, Department of Chemical Engineering, Qatar University, has been listed in the top 1% of Engineering field for Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher 2019. Professor Bassim was first included in this prestige list in 2014, and has remained there since.

Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed conducted a webinar on the “Art of Writing Publishable High-Impact Research Manuscript” for the faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on the 17th June 2020. The Webinar was organized by the Faculty of Engineering, UNIMAS and was attended by 62 participants.

Webinar organized by the Swedish Iraqi Studies Network (SISNET)

Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed conducted a webinar on the ‘Steps to Increase the Visibility of Research Articles’ on the 10th June 2020 lecturers from different Iraqi Universities. The webinar was organized by the Swedish Iraqi Studies Network and was attended by more than 50 participants. Prof. Bassim was awarded the honorary membership in the Swedish Iraqi Studies Network.

Workshop for the senior lectures, Universiti Sains Malaysia

Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed conducted a workshop on the “Art of Writing Publishable High-Impact Research Manuscript” on the 26th September 2018 at the University Conference Hall, main campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The workshop was organized by the Research and Innovation Division, Universiti Sains Malaysia and attended by 60 lecturers.
